Certified-Organic  Sweet Orange Oil is  a our favorite orange essential oils.  It is one of the most popular of essential oils in aromatherapy and is mostly known for its energizing, revitalizing and uplifting properties.   It is also known to be a powerful cleanser and purifying agent. The aroma is cheerful and helps to improve a stale smelling or smoky room.  In our anxiety ridden world, it has wonderful calming properties and aids in insomnia. It is antimicrobial and an insecticide.

It is obtained by cold pressing (sometimes steam distilling)  the nearly ripe fruit peels of the sweet orange tree (Citrus Sinensis).  Approximately 50 oranges produce 1 oz of Sweet Orange essential oil.
In aromatherapy Orange oil helps soothe tensed muscles and aids as a mood lifter.   It has antiseptic,  anti-inflammatory,   anti-depressant, anti-microbial and anti-oxidant properties.
Orange essential oil promotes a feeling of happiness and warmth when used in aromatherapy. It helps in the elimination of toxins in the body and  with digestive problems.   It stimulates lymphatic action to promote balance in water processes and results in detoxification of your body.
It is a mentally and physically uplifting oil that is helpful for overwork  and lifestyle pressures.
This essential oil is also good for nourishing dry, irritated and acne-prone skin when mixed in a cream or ointment.

Description

Orange oil is commonly used as an added flavoring to sweet meats, beverages, chocolates, biscuits, and confectionery and baked goods. Industrially, it is utilized as a concentrate for deodorants, soaps, body lotions, creams and room fresheners.

 Caution:   Orange Essential Oil is considered photo-toxic and exposure to sunlight should be avoided. Do not use if pregnant.
