Ylang Ylang

In aromatherapy one of the important properties of Ylang Ylang is its ability to slow down rapid breathing and rapid heart rate – hence it may be especially useful in shock and trauma situations.  It is associated with the heart chakra and is thought to support the heart on both a physical and emotional level.

It is used as an  antidepressant for nervous breakdowns, acute depression, anxiety, sadness and chronic stress.  As a  sedative it calms the mind and body leaving a sense of well being.

Use Ylang Ylang to counteract feelings of inadequacy, disassociation and isolation.

It can also help with reducing high blood pressure (hypotensive).

It is beneficial in relieving negative emotions such as anger, frustration and rage.

Considered to be an aphrodisiac it can be useful for frigidity and impotence.

Ylang Ylang can help with over-dry and over-oily skin – it balances the secretion of sebum. It also has a stimulating effect on the scalp, and is often used to help hair growth.

“I have been discovering new oils from your line every time I come to the Big Island for years now. I am always happy with the quality and love this Ylang Ylang.”   Janice
