Santalum paniculatum is being produced in a sustainable environmentally responsible manner. It represents an ecologically responsible alternative to traditional Indian Sandalwood Essential Oil.
Sandalwood oil has been used for thousands of years. It is derived by steam distilling chips and pieces of the heartwood of the sandalwood tree.
The woody, exotic and sweet fragrance from Sandalwood Essential oil has been used in spiritual and meditative practices, in skin-care, fragrances, cosmetics and in aromatherapy. It has been used for ages in traditional indian Ayurveda holistic practice for the treatment of somatic and mental illnesses.
In aromatherapy its calming and relaxing properties are helpful for states of fear, anxiety or chronic illness. It is also used for depression and stress. Sandalwood Essential Oil is improving mental clarity by creating a present, clear and calm awareness. Therefore it is used in meditation and spiritual practices. It is also a boost for mental functions like memory. And it is an aphrodisiac especially for men. It has anti-viral, anti-septic and anti-inflammatory benefits and can decrease blood pressure (hypotensive) just by applying it topically.
